The Asiago Transient Classification Program (Tomasella et al. 2014, AN,
335, 841) reports the spectroscopic observation of AT2019suj and
ZTF19aceluqi (supplied by Zwicky Transient Facility ZTF).
The observation was performed with the Asiago 1.82m Copernico Telescope
(+AFOSC; range 340-820 nm; resolution 1.4 nm).
Survey name | IAU name | Host galaxy |Disc. Date|Obs. Date | redshift| type |phase | notes
ZTF19aceluqi | | Galactic CV |2019-10-13|2019-10-22| - | CV | - |1
ZTF19acftfst |2019suj |SDSS J225151.43+233221.1|2019-10-18|2019-10-22| 0.104 | Ia |around max|2
(1) The spectrum shows a blue continuum with narrow Halpha, Hbeta and
Hgamma in emission at the rest wavelength. The object is therefore a
cataclysmic variable (CV).
(2) Best matches with type Ia SNe around maximum light. The redshift
z=0.104 is derived from SNID/GELATO SN template fitting and it is in
agreement with the photoZ=$0.107\pm0.0198$ reported in SDSS DR15 for the
host galaxy SDSS J225151.43+233221.1. Using this redshift, an expansion
velocity of about 10400 km/s is derived from the SiII 635.5 nm minimum.
The classification was performed using the GELATO (Harutyunyan et
al. 2008, A&A, 488, 383)
and SNID (Blondin and Tonry 2007, ApJ,
666, 1024) tools.
