A new fade event in the optical brightness of the young stellar object V2492 Cygni

V2492 Cyg is located in the field of the active star-forming region Pelican Nebula (IC 5070). The variability of the object was discovered during its outburst in 2010 by Itagaki & Yamaoka (CBET #2426), Munari et al. (CBET #2428) and Covey et al. (2011, AJ, 141, 40). The nature of the variability of V2492 Cyg is still controversial. The object shows consecutive large amplitude increases and dips in brightness within last nine years. The variability of the object can be likely explained by a superposition of both accretion and obscuration events, although their mutual proportion has not been clarified yet. The data from our photometric monitoring indicate that a new decrease in the brightness of V2492 Cyg is observed. The photometric observations obtained with the 50/70-cm Schmidt and the 2-m Ritchey-Chretien-Coude telescopes of the Rozhen National Astronomical Observatory (Bulgaria) in the Ic and Rc bands give the following magnitudes:

Our observations indicate that the object is below the registration limit of the telescopes in the V and B bands. Therefore, in these bands, the object's brightness is less than 19.50 mag.
